She looks to be coming on well,

Good photo's as well

she is mate. only problem i'm having is with her retrieving. perfect in a lane but on open fields she parades with it

I wouldn't worry too much about that, they soon change when they have game in their mouths, I know Merlin can be a right sod on dummies but he is **** hot with a pheasant in his mouth.

Just coz you own a shot gun doesnt mean that you have to own a springer..................

Have you tried walking backwards away from him as he nears you with the retrieve? This can help.

Yeah mate tried that.

Long line her mate........

Jas was being a sod and not coming back to whistle...............Had him on the long line for 3 days............RIGHT back to me now...........

Had a break through last night. Hunting in front, threw dummy, blew stop whistle. waited till dummy landed, sent for dummy, retrieved to hand, end of session

Chuffed!!!

Good work mate!

To improve steadiness repeat the exercise and keep her sat on the spot and you go and fetch the dummy!

Give her praise for staying on the spot. Repeat 4 or 5 times, on the last time send her for the retrieve as a reward, end of session!

She's a fine looking pup Scott, keep us posted!

Cheers
