Well put it this way!

Have you ever in your life time heard a rabbit making a noise with out it getting killed?

The answer is proberly no to every one? So i shouldn't imagine that they would invent a rabbit call unless you some how decoy them out their holes by food or something silly like that?

In my whole 15 years of living i have never heard a rabbit make a noise unless its getting hurt!

I have found it on the internet and it is a 3 in 1 predator call and when its on the short range call it says it coaxes rabbits out of their burrows, but i first saw it when i looked through some of my old air gunner books and it says it coaxes rabbits out of their burrows, and it works on short, medium and long range rabbits.

I can remember my father regularly used to sit over large rabbit warrens and lip squeek for ten minutes or so, in the hope of attracting the attention of any stoats in the area. The resident rabbits would often poke their heads out of their holes to see what all the noise was about, and if no stoats showed some of them ended up in Dad's bag.

So, yes the caller you mention could be used in a very limited way to shoot rabbits, but as others have said the main use for this type of call is as a fox call. Also bear in mind that any "rabbit" calls of American origin are supposed to replicate a Jack Rabbit, an animal similar to our Hare.

Q
