Decoys for magnet

I've got a magnet and usually use dead birds but could do with a pair of decoys to use before I get any birds to use.

Do people recommend the foam fixed type or are the full body with spinning wings any better??

Personally, I really haven't had much luck at all with artificials of any type on the magnet. I just wait until I've shot a few before using the magnet.

i use 2 foam decoys, and have had them come in on the rape in winter,

Silosock hypa flaps i use them on the magnet and they work really well and because they are light they don't drain the battery to much.I also have the full bodied with spinning wings but don't use them as i find the birds shy away perhaps because of the noise they make (they sound like a helicopter). i also use the silosocks on my bouncy poles to quite good effect

I use Hypaflaps and don't change them for dead birds, popa bear is right about the extended battery life.

I always use dead birds as I haven't had much luck with artificial. I always make sure I save some quality looking birds from last session and freeze them, quality looking I mean good wing bars and neck markings.
