Scully
Blimey good job I don't go to the Dr my files about 5 pages. I wouldn't be allowed a pudding spoon let alone a Firearm if they studied my drinking habits of yesteryear. My FEO was round this afternoon, and found it highly amusing when he asked me about my declared 'taking a rowing boat without the owners consent,' as he was actually stationed in the Lakes for a while and they often rowed out to the many islands to recover the boats that had been abandoned during the previous nights drunken escapades. Vince Green
Didn't we all drink too much sometimes when we were younger? +1 Look at it the other way round, if you didn't they could label you as 'doesn't mix well' or 'socially inept' you can't win that one. I would like to point out there is no law about what you drink. They are jumping to conclusions in trying to interpret drinking more than a certain amount a week as an indication that something is wrong. Drinking 2or three pints a night doesn't make somebody a dangerous nutcase They could say being a smoker shows a lack of judgement., being overweight, supporting Chelsea etc Edited September 23, 2016 by Vince Green

Like I say, they asked me to get a liver function test (at their expense) to determine the extent of my liver damage ! Needless to say ,it came back perfect ,but what if it hadnt? Would I then have to prove it was damaged for another reason,or would it confirm to them I was a slobbering drunk, unfit to possess firearms ?
