photon
I make my own leather sheaths and decided to make a stiching pony. It fits in to a bench vice so it is a shorter version of a floor standing one.it is cobbled together from offcuts and cost me nothing. iano
Looks great, but tell me, what is does it do / is it for?
photon
Looks great, but tell me, what is does it do / is it for? Basically it acts as a 3rd hand whilst hand stitching leather together, Ideal for knife sheaths as the leather is usually between 3 to 5 mm thick so 2 sides and a welt would be 15mm thick. Hard work even with pre drilled holes.
Walker570
I always predrill mine. At the moment I have a small vice which clamps to my desk and I have two bits of wood glued to the vice faces .... I'm just mean A must do task this winter.
