belly47
After having a good walk yesterday morning with my pal flushing a few pheasants I decided that when I get home I'll sort out my Evo built night vision and stick it on the .22lr and have a look at my horse paddock permission when darkness fell. It's been quite a while since I last used it and now it seems better than ever, as my poundland reading glasses now mean I can actually see the screen clearly!I only saw one rabbit and shot it cleanly and when I went to collect it I thought i may as well have a scan around the field behind (which I also have permission on)I caught I pair of eyes on the far side of the field and it was a fox, so I found a clear part of the fence away from any obstructions and began calling. With no caller to hand it was left to my mouth to try and bring it in. Much to my surprise as soon as I started the fox turned and made a bee line straight at me pausing only when I needed to wet my lips.Again, as soon as I started calling it belted towards me and I had to shout out for it to stop 50 yards out so I could take a shot.Dropped it where it stopped, nice clean brain shot. The vixen was in very good condition.I'm only an opportunist fox shooter really hence why I made the shot at that range with the .22lr.The neighbouring pheasant shoot now have one less predator to be concerned about.
