simonm
Hi I have just got my first gun (finally!) and its a new one, so I'm really excited about going shooting at the weekend. This may sound daft but is there any special prep that you should do before using it for the first time? Cheers Simon

figgy
just strip it down clean it with gun cleaner or WD40 to remove the preservation gunk that they get coated in.Oil the bits that need oiling ejectors etc and grease the trunions /knuckles/hingepins and grease the choke threads then most important bit, Get out and enjoy it. Get it set up then loose the adjustment tools allen keys or whatever it came with and have fun.
simonm
The manual (dodgy translation from Italian to English ) doesn't say anything so I guess not. Thanks - was planning to go to my nearest shoot on sunday but weather looked so bad I've found somewhere a bit further away open on Saturday! sportsbob
Its looking to be windy with rain this way also on Sunday but I must admit I do like a blustery day at the clay shoot as it makes it a little more challenging.
