naddan28
I don't know, it was comforting seeing how well they handled such an emergency.

Catamong
I was on a Ryanair flight back from Spain a couple of years when we had a bird strike just as the plane lifted off, there was a terrible stench of burning inside the plane, but it didn't smell like an electrical fire, more like burnt turkey , a lot of people got very jittery about it but the crew didn't seem bothered so I figured it was OK. Mungler
You got to hand it to pilots, they all as a breed appear to be as cucumbers. Not the way you would want to start your Thompson holiday though.
rarms
>They wouldn't dump fuel there I would imagine they would, must be standard procedure. They did when these two herons got struck last month at Mancheter: http://www.uk-airport-news.info/manchester...news-300407.htm
pin
They didn't dump it over Manchester was the point of my comment. CAA regulations stipulate minimum hight restrictions as well as separation from other aircraft and recommend that where possible the fuel is dumped over large bodies of water, certainly areas of high population are to be avoided.
