deadeye
i have an opportunity to purchase this black synthetic 391 beretta at a good price. i am presently using a beretta 687 silver pigeon o/u which i shoot well and like very much. i really don't need a new gun, but am interested in having a semi-auto, and it would be a change of pace from my o/u, and might make a better gun for rough useage. i have shot it some and have been initially impressed. all experienced input is appreciated

If the price is right the 391 is a great tool. go for it.
jef
Had a 302 and loved it. However, I shoot clays, pheasants, pigeons and anything else so I decided I wanted one gun in my cupboard that suited every thing. So I bought a new 686 and plan to keep it 'till I'm brown bread. I did get fed up of picking up shells at the clays and I felt awkward with the 302 on pheasant days. My brother has the same model you are looking at and it is a lot more fussy what cartridges it will cycle than it's predecessor the 302 or 303. Good luck JF
