Lancs Lad
Stupid question......... Can you make your own 12g blank carts from a "loaded" round. Ie unload the lead............. Or are there any reloaders out there that can make me some without charging an arm and a leg?
tuck1
Yes it can be done. Years ago we used to load an odd cartridge with confetti and chuck it into the cartridge bag on a keepers day, which always provided a good laugh. Due to Health and Safety Regulations I am not condoning the use of confetti etc etc. Obviously.

njc110381
Assuming that you just don't like the price of shop bought blanks, I've seen some blank conversion tubes for a 12g before. They're like a snap cap, but the primer area is a chamber for .22 blanks. Probably cheaper to run, and a lot less trouble
henry d
What are you needing them for ??
MC
You won't get a loud bang though if you just take the lead out, saluting blanks are black powder.

MC
They are, They are a damn sight louder than any gun. Are you sure you do not mean .22 blanks? these can be shot through a shotgun with an adaptor or through a starter pistol. I use primers that are put in to a cut down fired 12b case. If you can find them Express Supreme are the best as the brass is about an inch long.
