moongeese
Good Luck With Your Flight. Is It On The Foreshore, Or Inland ?. Bill
novice cushie shooter
Inland. Wind hopefully picking up overnight but will be cold and crisp.
novice cushie shooter
Well it was windless and misty which i believe are not a great combination. Still managed a right and left and a single for 6 shots. Great feeling hearing the guide pulling them in closer and closer.

JDog
Well done. Now try the foreshore. It will be a completely different experience.
anser2
Three geese on your first flight, not bad , not bad at all. Enough to make it a flight to remember , but not the huge bags we sometimes see on here. Well done.
novice cushie shooter
To be honest i was just glad to get a shot as i thought the weather would have put paid to a decent flight.i have no idea on how foreshore shooting works but I am sure i will give it a go sometime. anser2
You will find foreshore goose shooting is in a different league to inland decoying. Its not the shooting , but the landscape, the weather and the variety of other wildlife that makes coastal wildfowling. In terms of shooting your bag will usually be smaller and often non existent , but then shooting is not the sole reward of coastal wildfowling. Alas these days with old age most of my geese are shot inland , but given the choice I would always opt for a flight on the sea shore. novice cushie shooter
I dont doubt that for one minute! I suppose i am buliding up experience just being out just now be it inland or not. Thanks
SuperGoose75
Nice one. A brace of birds is plenty.Your guide looks to be well clued up as that is a classic decoy pattern. With no wind or anythng to go by he has set out two sets of decoys with a space in the middle for incoming birds to land. It is not Wildfowling by any stretch of the imagination as Anser2 has put but there is still magic to be had on them types of mornings as is in your photo's. I dont need to ask did you enjoy it as your photo say's it all.
