paul1966
we have rats again under the slab where our shed is, i think they are attracted by the chicken food in next doors garden thats left out all the time, i am going to suggest they take it in at night, i have three bait stations all baited with raco blocks. after the new legislation to do with selling poisons to the general public are the raco blocks effective? i know that it will take a week or two to see results. fitzy
In a similar position, with rats under paving slab. Bought Rodex whole wheat bait. Active ingredient is Bromadiolone "Active compound: Bromadiolone 0.005%w/w APPLICATION: This professional whole wheat poison is very effective against rats, with only 5-7g of the bait being sufficient to kill a 250g brown rat. It is quite feasible for a rat to eat a lethal dose in a single day. Comparatively small bait stations are needed, approx 100-180g stations for rat control. Only the finest food grade whole wheat is used, not animal grade, as food use wheat has a higher proportion of sugars/starches making it more palatable to vermin - if it tastes good they will eat it! " Claims 5-7g is a lethal dose. So far 200 grams has disappeared. Hope it works although reviews are mixed. Had wanted to get aBrodifacoum based poison (ie the good stuff) but only available for professional and farm use only. kennett
They all work, or they wouldn't be on sale, but HOW they are used is as important as what is used.
