wickedandlazee
I see no differnce between shooting something with an arrow or a rifle. In skilled hands the end result is the same although you do have to get a lot closer with a bow so its bit like an air rifle in the fact you have to have good field craft to get close enough. Plus i have a crossbow and would love it to be legalised so i can use it properley rather than at foam targets On an aside about criminals crossbows are now being used in drive bys in the US because of the lack of noise etc. Also what amazed me is that in this country you only need to be over a certain age to get a crossbow - no questions or checks asked, in fact im odered mine via the internet and got it delivered by post!!!. These things are as lethal as a hand gun at close range - bloody ridiculous
cloudwalker
I voted no. We have had a Canada Goose in all our local papers for about a month now. Someone has shot it with a crossbow. It's flying around with this bolt through its neck. People have been trying to catch it but to no avail. Also when I was in South Africa, i talked with some bow hunters there. It has become quite a "macho" thing. But as already has been said on this thread, it is rare for a clean kill.

Popgun
I voted yes but i think you should have to have a licence for a hunting bow
