Nfinlay22
Hi all, anyone advise were is the best place to buy new 22-250. Would like a Tikka or steyr but would consider other brands as I am on a budget. Must be sporting barrel. Hendrix's rifle
If your on a budget you could get a howa and spend the rest on some glass. I got one on 223 and can't fault it, accurate, nice action however the end of the stock is a little flimsy. You can get them for less than £500 new
zipdog
budget Howa or Tikka get my vote. A Steyr would be nice but there are a lot more money. For the record I looked at all three and CZ and Sako but settled on the Tikka. Edited March 9, 2017 by zipdog
welshwarrior
Have a look at Begarra lot better gun than the tikka for less or similar money.

Alycidon
I had one of the first 22.250s that Steyr ever made, a varmint model in about 1991, it was very poor accuracy wise. Most 22.250s cannot hold a candle accuracy wise to a 222 or 223 , great killer though. Pleased you opted for a 223, I am sure that accuracy has improved, I did hear of several other rifles in the same batch that were re tubed, the throats were very long, A

My Sako 75 shot 1/4 Moa even with a fire cracked well used barrel and friends Remington 700 shoots a 4" square gong at 750 yards almost ever shot.
