spandit
Shooting downhill changes your POI. Put some targets out at different measured ranges and practice.
steve d
Not resting the barrel on the rail are you?
Walker570
That was my thought steve d. My metal seats all have foam around which helps but I still support the forend with my hand. The very slight angle shooting from a high seat on level ground wouldn't effect the impact point where the fox or even rabbit would know the difference. Don't rest the rifle on the rail and get your elbow locked on somewhere solid.
Dunkield
I would stick a targets out in the field a see where you are missing it might shed some light on the mystery. How high is your seat and how close were the misses? Ironically I miss more near stuff than far.

Walker570
Just hold the fore end and lock that elbow.... any other problems are yours physically/metally ....called snatching. We all do it at some times in our lives so don't despair
paulw6969
Just been and had play as advised put board across tower and shot target of bipod 4 inches low at 60/70 yds but once sorted on the money thanks all
activeviii
Don't test your barrel on anything. It will screw up your poi. Rest the forensic on the rail and your elbow of butt of stock on side rail or back of seat depending on the size of seat. It's like the ones i see shooting off sticks and the hold the barrel down with their finger. Any interference with the barrel will shift where your bullets going
