Aged 73 I looked at the scheme. To gain £25 per week I would need to invest £17,950 !! £25 per week = £1,300 per year and £17,950 divided by £1,300 = 13.8 years before break even i.e. Aged 86. And, if I die along the route any remaining balance in my pot would remain with HMG. It's not worth my joining the scheme.
