Paddy Galore!
Hi gents, I've inherited an old ipod thingumyjig but it's full of stuff I don't like, now I might be a bit thick but how do you erase all the playlists? also, can I download music from my stereo or usb directly to it or do I need to buy all my record collection again from iTunes? cheers for helping out an old duffer, Paddy. JimLondon
connect to your iTunes account, restore to factory settings to erase all and then add your choons innit
The Mighty Prawn
And you can get record players that digitise and can then load into iTunes and onto iPod if you really are a vinyl virtuoso
TaxiDriver
Feel your pain as I have loads of CD's that I'd love to load to my IPad or phone but haven't been able to find out how and then be able to do it. iTunes seems a bit of a con as I've had instances where music I've paid to download has disappeared, been deleted or can only be downloaded a maximum number of times. Not like the old days of buying a cd and uploading it to ones laptop, least if something went amiss you still had the hard copy (CD)

Not like the old days of buying a cd and uploading it to ones laptop, least if something went amiss you still had the hard copy (CD) Copy the music onto you PC/laptop. Connect your phone/iPad to the PC via USB cable. Open your audio/music folder and then simply drag and drop the files onto the device. If for some reason you can't copy the CD onto your PC, then go to a torrent site and D/L a copy from there. You already have the hard copy so you're not breaking any laws by doing that. Thanks, I no longer have a laptop or pc (that's how I've lost music I paid for - downloaded) Regarding a torrent site, I've no idea what that is but suspect the CDs I have are unlikely to be available generally as they're older, special/limited interest mainly imports from the USA. Paddy Galore!
thanks gents, I think I won't bother, sounds like more grief. I've already transferred my entire collection to a usb stick from my stereo, then loaded them on my laptop, and finally to my phone. I've got a Bluetooth speaker that takes a usb stick, and a work radio that although it has a usb port, won't accept the usb stick as it's only a phone charging port, but will accept Bluetooth from my phone. a long winded and convoluted way to get some decent tunes but I got there in the end. ta, paddy
