6.5MMX55?

tulkyuk give me some credit M8.

I shoot 6.5x55 at the range, I know 6.5 is the bullet dia, and 55 the lenght of the case as with all european cartridges. What I was unsure of was I have never seen a 6.5 labled with the MM after the 6.5, as in:

 

6.5MMX55

 

I alway seen it 6.5X55 or if it had been 6.5X55MM that I would have got.

This is the calibre that they shot President Kennedy with, did you know that :lol: And b4 any other wise cracks I was only a wee kid then :lol:

Sorry Big Dog - i just assumed you had seen a rifle for sale and said "thats the 1 i'll have" without really knowing what it was you were getting - a lot of so called shooters do this kind of thing, just so they can say they have got a big rifle.

 

again i opplogise and hope you do well with it - damn good rifle for shooting deer with.

I was talking to a shooter at Minsterley he was looking at my 6.5x55, I said he had a nice rifle (good chat up line :lol: ) he said it is a 6.5x57 and offered me a shot with it.

I had never heard of it before, but there are loads of 6.5 calibres when you look:
