Are these factory fittings better value than buying a stock gun and having local smith undertake gunfit?

I don't believe there is a significant price difference if any and based on that I'd say both represent good value, having said that I also believe they're more suited to people who really know and understand what they want and have the willpower to exert due pressure on the factory fitters to listen.

The perazzi one, you pay RRP on the gun your own travel and accommodation costs as opposed to buying a stock gun which you may be able to negotiate a deal on. These are not about value but about choice and the experience, A friend of mine did it last year and his gun is lovely,He selected every part, the length and weight of barrels, the rib, the wood, even the grip was shaped to his hand.

Biggest problem I see is when the gun has been fitted is its resale value may be affected over a stock gun. You choose all the different options get it all shaped to you and then in future sell, need to find someone it fits or they pay for more fitting and Fettling. A stock gun with adjustable comb will do most people and be easier to sell.

A guy i know has literally just got his beretta DT11 back after a factory fitting. If you have any questions I could ask him.

He has a piece of wood on it, I would class as above grade 6. That was extra, significantly.
