la bala Posted May 26, 2017 Report Share Posted May 26, 2017 Needed some me time this afternoon, I new the rabbits would be lying up in the cool, decided to put the 452 in the landy and go anyway. I dont know what the temperature was, but sitting in a landy with no roof headlining i can tell you it was a tad warm. I kept thinking about Alex Guiness in that sweatbox in Bridge over the River Kwai . I spent the next 2 hours sitting at different rabbit location, nothing, nada it seemed to be that hot even the young ones were not out. Well as the old barnet was starting to overheat, i decided to call it off. Well well, looking ahead i could see 3 magpies sitting on the ground, stopped the landy and pinged them at 83 yds, rifle on the rest one down, his two mates sitting looking at each other wondering what was going on. Chambered second round, number two on his back, by this time No 3 thought stuff this, i am off. Well i decided to pick them up and and put them out on a bit of grass hoping there friend may return, after half an hour nothing showed so headed home.
