Danger-Mouse
You said Lyalvale are a budget cartridge. I would presume that like most brands they range from cheap to expensive. The cheapest cartridges at my local are Lyalvale Express @ £45.50 a slab.

Ultrastu
I guess ive formed that conclusion rightly or wrongly ,due to the fact that the layvale do tend to be cheaper than say gamebore or hulls .like for like cartridge . Also the layvale dont seam to cycle well in my gun .which i attribute to there construction .and 3rdly .when ive opened the ones ive had the lead shot looked poor compared again to gambore nsi hull etc . Just my opinion . But i did say budget .and that means cheaper price not necessarily a poorer product . (Although on the case of the ones i bought i feel they are ) My opinion . BrowningB525
They're £8.20 from JustCartridges, so it looks like you weren't ripped off... To be fair. Just cartridges are a rip off!

That was what I was expecting to pay hence the question , I guess the super comp are the premium end of the range , I hadn't come across them before. I shot quite well with them today though, better than usual anyway, so there might be something in it.
pinfireman
Interesting topic................I have not bought cartridges in bulk for many years. I buy components in bulk, (and I really shop around, home and abroad) and reload for £145 per 1,000. Been reloading since 1976. I bought bulk after just a few months of reloading, never looked back.
