BSA Shaun
As title says, would like to know where you guys buy clays from, if you do
pin
A few places might sell the odd box, in my experience the big lads won't even talk to you unless you want 3 or more pallets. Local to me Country Persuits in Rickmansworth will sell you the odd box, for a ripoff price, not a lot of help to you I know. Try a clay ground? BSA Shaun
Thanks for that mate. Just want to get hold of a few boxes as a mate has an old clay trap and I may have a bit more land soon if house move goes through. Surely someone must sell them by the box, a sale is a sale? pin
Clays are very heavy and very fragile and therefore a total pain to deal with. The manufacturers transport clays on specially adapted trucks so they don't break. The main problem you will find is finding someone who has the space to take the minimum quantity from a supplier, store them and afford to just knock out the odd box. Dealing in single boxes of clays simply isn't worth the effort.
BSA Shaun
Ok fair one mate. But if anybody has a spare box or 2, let me know
Bagsy
Essex Gun sell a box of 150 standard clays for about £7.50 - not close to you but gives an idea of cost.

humperdingle
Get yourself down to your local clay ground and politely ask what happens to clays which land unbroken. If they say that nothing happens to them... i.e. they're not collected, ask if you can go out at a quiet time and collect some for yourself. They might even give you them for nothing... Oh, and wave a finger in front of their face and say "These are the clays i'm looking for" In a fashion just like dear old Obi Wan Kenobi. Lurch
LGS has them here, you used to be able to buy them in the local agricultural centre. Many moons ago the agri centre did their own brand of 12g carts too.

dazzyboi
The "countrywide" stores should stock them, they do in the one by me

Guest
All of the gunrooms i know of in my area (Herefordshire/Just over the border into Wales) sell clays by the 150 box, in a variety of sizes, usually about £7 a box for the midi's. Countrywide sell them also i beleive, and the local "Gamekeepa" feeds. Sam
Killer69
m8 if you want to get real cheap clays go to a clay shooting ground and you can get the unbroken clays which have been fired by them for tupence. they should be all un damaged and due to them being sturdy fire fine!! many people still by the clays new whihc is usually for 50% more than the used clays!! a good investment as twice the number of clays for half the price how ever more cartridges will therefore be used probs. annoying every one within a square mile around where you are shooting!! hope you can find the clays!
