james1955
Hi I currently hold a firearms certificate, i am interested in getting a multi shot shotgun. My question is do i also need a shotgun license for a multi shot shotgun or can i i ask for a variation on my FAC to include a section 1 shotgun ? If you have plenty of crop to shoot over go for it however as I said it may not be that easy

Scully
Tell Sharon at Cheshire that one... It's not up to Sharon I'm afraid. Sharon is bound by firearms regulations like all others in that licensing authority. I'll admit there can be 'personalities', but they can only act within the guidelines of firearms licensing, and therefore if the OP can show 'good reason' and satisfies all other criteria, then Sharon has no choice but to do her job. If Sharon is ruling your particular roost, then I'm afraid that's because you're allowing it.

Sco77w
What do you want it for? i have 3 and slots for another 2, mine hold 10 + 1, 12 + 1 and 13 + 1 all used for practical and target disciplines. You don't need to state capacity or action type just S1 shotgun in the caliber you want. you will need a good reason to have one tho, they don't seem to like us having them.
