KB1
After watching a video on PW, it sparked my interest in buying a moderator for my Browning Maxus. However when I did an internet search, the website stated that a FAC was required for purchase….. I only have a SGC Does anyone know if this is a cast in stone regulation? Rst1990
Could you post a link to the website? I purchased a moderator for my semi auto and was checked out by my feo as he was interested in one and nothing got mentioned about obtaining a variation on my fac for one. walshie
You don't need a FAC to buy a moderator for a S2 shotgun. You can buy them through the post. They aren't added onto your SGC and my FEO in the Met and my FEO at Dyfed Powys weren't interested in it. Check with Saddlery and Gunroom who sell all sorts of shotgun mods. What a massive surprise. NOT. My first post covered such minor issues = people (including quite a few RFD's & IMPORTERS, plus a few FEO's) not being able to read the Firearms Act which clearly states that accessories attain the condition requirements of the item they'll be fitted to: FAC moderators need FAC slot approval, SGC moderators need no separate "slots" as no such slots are listed on an SGC (same as barrels), airgun moderators likewise need no permission to buy Edited August 8, 2017 by saddler

manthing
I asked the question at my interview. Was told that there was no need to apply for any extra licence for moderators on a SGC.
