mallinson
Hi I'm pretty new on here and have only been shooting for the past year or two. I'm looking to buy a new net the one i have at the moment is an old army camoflague net, although it is top quality and very rugged it takes all the room up in my bag. Theres alot of choices about and i was wondering what every one else uses and if you had any contact numbers and prices of new nets

Cranfield
mallinson, you may find that your Army surplus style netting, is the best there is.......and the cheapest. I wouldn,t be without mine.
Ears
I like Hesian nets because they dont flap around in the wind but they are bloody heavy and worse when they are wet. OK if you can get your 4x4 near to the set up point.
Jonnyni
I agree with Cranfield mallinson roll the net up tight like a sleeping bag and tie it evert time you have used it, they will roll up small.
red_stag88
Incidentaly what do you use as hide poles? Aparrently banksticks are good with a solid V. Plus they are not to expensive, i often see them advertised 10 for £15 or so.
Cranfield
What kind of banksticks cost £15 for 10 ? The long, (extend to about 6ft) adjustable ones I have seen used as hide poles, are about £10 each and they are silver/aluminium coloured. When I replace my hide poles, I will look at the adjustable washing line poles everyone sees in Argos.
rb5037
LOL Think red is talking about the bank sticks that are 15" tall that you buy as a mixed party pack with a selection of differant types. The sort of hide you need to lie low in LOL

mallinson
I use the washing line poles for my hide. Bought them from argos cut them down abit in lenght and painted them matt black, works a treat.
