Bluebarrels
Dragged myself out of bed this morning at 5am,thought I might get a few shots off this morning as I had plans for this afternoon.Made my way to my perm in the hope of the weather holding and getting a few pulls of the trigger. I set up in a hedgerow with a field of cut maize to my front and a freshly cut field of Lucerne behind me well it all started well but my shooting was a bit hit and miss I soon settled down and got my eye in and soon had a few on the deck, had to make a trip back to the car for more carts and it was steady shooting for the next couple of hours. The weather was so good I shot in a T-shirt, it was a good day to be out and thoroughly enjoyable The only problem I had was 2 walkers who spotted me from the footpath some 300m away, they hung around for ages,so I decided it wasn't worth the grief and packed up for the day Anyway finished with 85 on the clicker with 67 picked left the ones that fell in the brambles/nettles for Charlie to clean up,but I reckon if I had shot well to start with and not had the spotters on the footpath I would have shot well in excess of 100+ ,BB
