lakeside1000
Last Sunday whilst out for a jaunt in our camper the coolant pipe burst on the engine , after 4 days in the garage I got a bill for £380, but thats not my real problem, just the forerunner to the real disaster, on Thursday whilst traversing a very rough wheat stubble field a loud bang and subsequent knocking sound emanated from beneath my much loved and constantly relied upon Mitsubishi Pinin, without which I cannot access many of my permissions, After limping home and noticing a slight weaving sensation on the stearing, I crawled underneath to find the offside rear axle stabiliser bar had completely ripped from its mounting point in what was left of the main chassis member, now a crumpled and rusted mess. Today I once again crawled underneath, armed with a length of fence wire and pliers and tied the end of the stabiliser to what is left of its mounting. I have spent all afternoon searching the internet for a cheap replacement for my Pinin but have come up empty, so if you live anywhere near Great Yarmouth or Norwich and know of a good Pinin or Suzuki Vitara please drop me a line as the pigeons are calling to me and I cannot answer the call, withdrawal symptoms are already setting in, and the wife or neighbours wont let me loose on the pigeons feeding in the garden. Lord Geordie
Would it not be cheaper to have the **** cut out and get it welded up?
Me matt
Would it not be cheaper to have the **** cut out and get it welded up?This. Ive replaced tons of rotten VW moutning points including sections of floor before. May look bad but the right guy with decent welding skills will have you back on the field. Ive had a pinin and an xtrail and tbh neither are built for long term or heavy off roading. Edited October 21, 2017 by Me matt
