wildfowler.250
Can anyone recommend some winter tyres for the Vitara? I was looking at some michelin crossclimates which seem to get reasonable reviews but its not an area I know much about so any advice would be appreciated. Basically just looking to do some muddy tracks and the odd bit of snow. Not proper off-roading. Cheers!
bluesj
Any A/T will be better than road type tyres and cheaper that most winter tyres and a lot cheaper than Michelins.
Stonepark
Yokahama Geolander (GO15) are mud and snow rated with snowflake symbol, as are quite a few other A/T's, but handle like normal road tyres.

Thanks. So would you say Michelins are not worth the money? Yokahama Geolander (GO15) are mud and snow rated with snowflake symbol, as are quite a few other A/T's, but handle like normal road tyres. Thanks, will look them up!

Harry Callahan
I bought my RAV4, it was on Bridgestone Dueler HT's. They are rated as poor for pretty much everything yet I've driven in bad snow and severe rain (flooding) and light off roading with it (muddy tracks and across fields) and they served very well. Never struggled in the snow at all when cars couldn't get up slopes... Only time I didn't like the tyres - which have now been changed - was a lack of grip when they were very well worn.
