Lens cleaning

Now the cold weather is here, how are people coping with condensation on their lenses ?

Scope and NV spotter are steaming up when put to my eye as body temperature meets cold lens. Do people just keep wiping with lens clothes, or is there some sort of anti fog remedy that is guaranteed not to harm the coating on the lenses ?

You can buy anti-fog/mist wipes from places like Halfords.

I've also read that using a 50/50 mix of water and vinegar wiped onto the glass, then wiped off, stops fogging. And another one is shaving foam. Wipe onto the glass, then wipe off. I haven't tried these remedies, but will give it a go soon.

UPDATE: I used the vinegar/water mix and wiped it on/off one of my bathroom mirrors. After taking a shower, there was no fogging/misting of the treated one, but the other one was covered.

I've gone to using the anti mist glass coating by Rain x and  keeping the lense cover on until shortly before the shot. I've lost a few Charlie's because I couldn't see b all due to fogging up., and there a decent size lense wipe too in my top left coat pocket.

With my N750A NV scope, I get misting in the ocular end, especially as it's covered with a rubber eye extension piece. I'm going to try one or two of the method's I mentioned in my previous post.
