Tench and Bream.

I fished Rye Nook Fishery today (near Rye, East Sussex) about 15 miles from me, started at 6 am and finished about 4pm.

Total catch was 15 tench between 2lbs and 7lb-14ozs and 26 bream all between 8-10lbs, with the biggest at 10lb-6ozs.

I used the method feeder on two rods and homemade paste as bait.

This is a large quite exposed pit and although it was warm and dry, the wind churned up the surface and at one point is was like rollers coming down the lake.

I am a member of the syndiacte on this fishery, but most of it is available on day ticket and its a lovely place to fish.

Fishing midweek, I usually have most of it to myself.

nice work cranners..

:good:

Just waitying for the balmy mornings here instead of rain so I can have some early morning estate lake 'tenching'................

something magical about an estate lake will full lillies @ 4 in the morning. Flat calm; with the mist rolling over it...........................peacock quill close in over a bed of breadcrumb and sweetcorn..........waiting for those bubbles to appear :good:

As I fish midweek , avoid busy waters and fish on my own, I rarely have any trophy shots, although I always have the camera in the truck.

Fish on an unhooking mat, rarely have the impact of one being held by the angler.

I will take a few on my next trip there, if only to show what a beautiful place it is. :good:
