Mason4796
Afternoon all, I was looking for some advice if possible! Which is best to get membership through for insurance purposes etc. BASC or CPSA? What are the main pros and cons of each? and what are peoples thoughts? I have found the CPSA website quite clumsy to navigate round but in honesty do more clay shooting than anything else..... thoughts and advice really appreciated! David BASC
Choose which fits you best, if you mainly do clay shooting and especially if you want to get into Country or National competition with rankings etc then the CPSA is the way to go. If not and live quarry is your thing then BASC
Scully
If it’s just insurance you want then you don’t need to join either.

David BASC
Not fair to be frank, not only have we helped loads of members with firearms issues as well as funding loads of appeals in Court, let alone secured acres and acres of land for shooting, added more ground to our stalking schemes, loads of wildfowling opportunities through our permit schemes... in 2017, we also delivered all of this too: https://basc.org.uk/bascs-key-achievements-of-2017/ Still we cant please all the people all the time... Matty89
For what it costs I just joined both, I clay bash a fair bit so like to have CPSA membership. I also joined basc for peace of mind of landowners should I try and seek permission from them, the free entry to the Game Fair means it pays for itself anyway.
