johnphilip
There is another way of doing it, but without seeing it . Cut a piece out in the shape of a vee. Then fit a piece of something like black ebony , will involve some work , but will get rid of that nasty crack .

nagantino
I'm sorry that I've no solution to your problem. I believe you need a cabinet maker not a gunsmith though. When I saw the photo I immediately thought the grain of the wood was at fault, nothing to do with rough handling, and so it will never be repaired. Many rifles have a different, harder wood in that position, maybe for good reason. However, it's a bit much this happening in a Perazzi. Let us all now any resolution you find. Harnser
That looks very repairable to me . If mine I would have ago at it . Was told by a gunsmith that forend cracks were normally caused by loose irons in the forend . Try nipping up the forend irons to see if they are tight enough . harnser
JJsDad
I am not sure which model of Perazzi you have got; but just thought I would give you a heads up. There is a fore-end wood on ebay for a Perazzi. Look under Hunting/Clay Shooting. Current bid is circa £60 with 6 days to run.
