I'm sorry that I've no solution to your problem. I believe you need a cabinet maker not a gunsmith though. When I saw the photo I immediately thought the grain of the wood was at fault, nothing to do with rough handling, and so it will never be repaired. Many rifles have a different, harder wood in that position, maybe for good reason. However, it's a bit much this happening in a Perazzi. Let us all now any resolution you find.
