Dasher
I'm looking for a cheap sub £50 mini action camera to take on holiday during which it will be used for cycling, kayaking........ this is probably the only time it will get used so hence the budget! I am not very tech savy so thought someone on here must have some ideas and suggestions, having looked on Evil Bay I'm even more unsure on which to go for!! Thanks in advance Dasher
strimmer_13
I bought one of those go pro look a likes of eBay. Watched/read reviews as it's 1080p 60fps etc blah blah blah and all seemed good. Went through about 5 websites checking it out. Looked like a good buy. Footage seemed great (online). Was about 40-50 quid with a lot of mounts chucked in. but utter and I mean UTTER ****. Footage grainy and jercky and batteries last 15mins. Avoid and buy a proper gopro Edited March 23, 2018 by strimmer_13 spelling

Wingman
Don’t bother I bought a cheap one of the bay and it was rubbish. Save up and get a GoPro the cheap ones won’t survive what you expect from them.

Bought one last year, it's a mess. Maybe I'm used to the quality of my half-decent phone camera but for something that's dedicated to the one task of recording video - it's useless. With most things in life you get what you pay for - this was a quick reminder of that fact for me.
