kennett
Morning all, just wondering if any body has used one of the Gas ram conversion kits on a Springer? (not the mental hairy sort). I have a Webley Exocet that I've had since I was a kid and want to give it a bit of a new lease of life. Is it worth the effort or should I just spend more and get something like a hw97, its only for teaching my little girl in the garden and shooting the odd squirrel. Stonepark
Would strip gun (reasonably straight forward) inspect breech seal, piston seal, replacing as necessary then replace spring with titan xs no7 spring and button back up. Ram is not worth cost as will make cocking stiffer for daughter
strimmer_13
Rams are horrible unless they are in a theoben. Avoid. Put on in a supersport and i couldn't get on with it, which is strange seeing as they ended up being in the lighting. Also bought a gamo rocket with it in. Gave that away it was so poor. Get a new spring, new seals and bit of moly grease, it will do wonders.
kennett
Thanks everyone, a service kit and a new spring sounds like a plan
