Dave-G
I just picked up a black painted 5 feet long carbon steel crow bar I'd left laying in the garden: I'm totally amazed how the sun had made it so uncomfortably hot to hold in the bare hands so decided to put the work gloves on. If it had been a black hose pipe I reckon any water inside it would have been too hot for a shower. Little wonder I have to get into some shade so often and have so many cold drinks or risk sun stroke. Roll on some cooler weather lol. JohnfromUK
Apart from the heat, we are also plagued by house alarms going off all the time. One up the road goes of most afternoons about 16:00, suspect when the sun gets to a particular point. Not sure if it is left open windows, sun on PIRs, or the large number of spiders that seem to get everywhere at present. There was also a combine harvester and about 5 acres of crop burned out a couple of miles away this morning. Sciurus
Not seen the sun for more than a few minutes for the last few days! It’s wet and drizzly here and a very comfortable 18 degrees. The hosepipe ban is still in place for August
