Country_est
Have this prob at home with my Lab. Have had it for years, when I had the old bitch and just got him I mentioned this to the vet, as his farts were stinking the house out, but she didn't make so much as a squeak. The vet then turns to me and says "ITS a MAN THING", as they were both been fed on the same stuff, did the same exercise ect ect. It doenst make much difference to what I feed him on, with high protein stuff during the season, or just normal stuff during the summer months. Some times when he does a REAL loud one he turns round and looks at his ar$e as if to say where the hell did that come from. Trev.
Cranfield
According to a Vet I discussed this with, there is more chance of your dog having excessive wind if it is fed "complete" pellet type food, due to the high percentage of cereal (fibre) in most of them. Mine is on the BARF menu and doesn't have any noticeable wind and she does live indoors with us.

Cranfield
Bones And Raw Food. The hound exists on raw breast of lamb, chicken wings, chicken carcases, minced raw meat (nothing added), other meat cuts, pureed vegetables (no onions, sweetcorn, radish, cucumber etc) and pureed fruit. No cereal products, like biscuit, at all. Its great if you have access to either a slaughter house, or a Butcher who prepares his own meat. A lot of the meat elements are free as they are offcuts , or pieces that are normally thrown away (chicken carcases, trimmings etc). Big bags of frozen chicken wings are very cheap and I get breast of lamb for £1.50 per kilo. I find it cheaper to feed her BARF than good quality complete pellet food. Another bonus is that they do not produce a lot of droppings and seem to have no desire to eat it. With complete food they normally produce large piles of droppings and often eat it. NorfolkBoy
Our boys only get raw beef/ veal and free butchery trimmings BUT they can still clear a room faster than the Black Death: sick:
