Spower
Hi all, Does any one know anywhere in South Yorkshire where I can get Vectan SP3 or another powder suitable for 17-19gram fibre loads for the .410? Thanks, Spower
vpk999
I use 13 grains of Hodgdon Lil'gun for 19grams of lead and a 12mm cork wad. That's for a 3 inch shell. I tend to get my powder delivered from Henry Krank in Pudsey LS28 9AY, which shouldn't be too far from you.
Spower
That's exactly the kind of load I'm after. I'll look into Henry Krank only about 40 miles from me so not too far. Thanks for that 👍
Walker570
SP3 a good powder for the 410. I use .97g and 18.6g of shot ...12mm fibre wad(Folkestone supplied) and 3 mm over powder card. Very close that suggested by John at Folkestone Engineering. Shooting Show coming up in February and I HOPE to have enough to last me till then. On the side , how much does shipping cost for powder ?? Spower
Clay&Game charge silly prices for shipping Powder/Primers but just had a look on Henry Krank and they're showing powder shipping costs £14.40 which seems very reasonable, certainly compared to C&G. vpk999
I had a delivery of powder to the Scottish Borders last week from Henry Krank and it was £40 for up to 20kg. It depends on your post code and it's using a secure courier. Basically a guy from Glasgow in an unmarked truck. That was the minimum price, so I got them to add 15kg of lead shot, just to try and get my money's worth. figgy
Ouch £40.00 for dangerous goods doubles a tub of powder price. Shame more local RFD dont stock all the powders or order it for you. Makes ordering and collecting at shows sensible.
Spower
I'm hoping the weather holds out on Sunday morning as I'm taking a trip up to near Bridlington on the motorbike to collect 3 tubs of lil gun. CGSG selling Hodgdon powders at a cracking price 👍
