Dave-G
I've occasionally notices a tiny sharp spike in the meaty part at the extreme rear of my ears, mostly when towelling after a shower or whatever. I often wondered what it might be and put it down to just growing old. I was down the doctors earlier and while waiting for him to print a prescription asked him if he knew what they were, (both ears) Well it turns out its an early sign of gout, which is apparently heridity. One of my brothers has it bad in his feet but he's always been a very heavy drinker wheras I have maybe five pints a year on special occasions. Anyway, its just a heads up in case anyone else notices these in their ears, mine are barely there, nowhere near as advanced as most of those seen here, so if find you have something similar get ya blood checked for uric acid apparently. seems its related to arthritis and sometimes diabetes: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Tophi+ear&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjMtvvIyYjgAhVjs3EKHVoLCmcQ_AUIDigB&biw=1745&bih=862 Time to cut back on the cheese. Dougy
I've seen this type of problem before Dave, it is curable but it's not something that's been permitted in this country for quite a few years now. It involves popping into the woods for a stick with a pointy end.
