Cranfield
I have the full Sky package and also subscribed to Prem Plus. Now that Setanta have some of the Premiership games and Prem Plus seems to have disappeared as a Sky option, is anyone else subscribing to Sentanta ? Its £9.99 per month and you get all the Scottish premiership games (whether you want them or not ).
garyb
Don't think I will bother... Do we know what games they have on there yet ?
Cranfield
Yes, there is a full schedule on their website. Apparently they have an agreement with Sky, not to show a live match both at the same time, but I haven't found the Sky schedule to confirm this. I do love my live footie. garyb
Not sure its worth the dosh for a few cheap games and the SPL I will give it a miss, and watch them on the net for free
Cranfield
Errrr, how do you watch them on the Net for free ?
lurcherboy
Err, no idea but I am paying £59.00 a month and I only watch MotoGP and WSB. I think the my kids will be very dissapointed soon as MTV etc. Dissapears from their screen viewing. LB
Dunkield
This is one thing I just can't bring myself to cough up for. We live in the bottom of a valley, so anything that feeds through the aerial doesn't work even with a booster etc. To get the 'other' channels I bought a free sat from Sky box, one off payment no subscription. I guess we just don't watch enough telly, which can only be a good thing? Mind you whan neighbours moves from BBC1 to Channel 5 it will have paid for itself In the US TV program downloading is very common, a friend of mine in over there got rid of his TV and now only downloads what they really want to watch. It came to a head when they realised they had sat through 4 hours straight or gardening programs one night without even realising
Mungler
I too cannot bring myself to cough the big numbers for Sky. Pension comparable: £60 x 12 months = £720.00 6-7% tax free = £50 Roll that and compound it over say 30 to 35 years and you are talking a very serious number. Cranfield
I did have the Music, Movie and Childrens packs taken off my Sky deal, which reduces the subscription, but added HD. My interest in TV, apart from the news, is watching live sport especially football, or most things relating to country sports. My wife watches just about everything else, but mostly its satellite programmes. The subscription is now £37.03 per month, which I don't think is too bad, considering a day at a premier football match would cost me more than that. pin
I did similar, paired it down to the lowest package I could. HD + sports for about £30something a month. No movies, works out cheaper to buy the odd one off box office than subscribe to the dross they churn out every week, and now with HD movies with decent sound £3 a pop is worth it finally. I still loathe paying them any money, I have worked closely with Sky as a company and well, I'd rather not pay them a penny
dazza
I subscribe to Sentanta purely for the Old Firm games. If you like watching Irishmen beating the **** out of each other there's plenty of Gaelic games on it as well
