beanieboy
I have dedicated night vision scopes on my 17 WSM (Pard 008) and on my 22lr (Photon XT). I have a standard day scope on my 223 (Kahles Helia 8x50), but would like to have the option of also using the 223 at night. I know it's unlikely the Kahles will go well with an add-on and was therefore wondering which SF Hawke scope folk would recommend, sidewinder, airmax or endurance? I mention these three because they're pretty decent scopes for day use, albeit maybe not quite as good as the Kahles.

Walker570
All my scopes are Hawke and two of them Airmax. I use add on NV on them all no problem other than maybe a couple of layers of tape to get a good fit on the camera...one of DaveG's. Only had it a few weeks and three foxes with the 22BR and a couple of rabbits with the 17HMR didn't enjoy the experience one bit. Great scopes at a sensible price and very good back up. Suuggest to get the low mag 2.5 or 3 - that works best and gives you a wide field of view and you can zoom in if necessary. beanieboy
Thanks chaps. Seems they're all pretty good as long as I stick to a low starting mag.

My Endurance 30 is a 4x scope, but as I don't intend shooting close range, it's okay for me.
beanieboy
Think I'll get myself a Pard 007 and an Airmax 3-12x50 SF Scope for my 223. I can also use the 007 as a spotter when using the dedicated nv.
maxwell
Beaninoy why not use the 008 on both the 22 and 223? They have several zero options and swap over quickly when required

I should really have shimmed it, like I did with my Photon. Nevertheless, the image on the 008 is very good.
