Many thanks Guys for your kind wishes on my 49'th - i'm not quite there yet (in Cranners Land...!!!), however i've had a great day today and i've got myself sorted for a potentially good days shooting tomorrow over a field of peas that was drilled last Thursday, and today was absolutely BLUE with woodies...!!!

I've got Deako's new flapper to try out, so I will post tomorrow night to let everybody know how i've got on....if I get up early enough that is, as she's got the low cut top and the short skirt on tonight, so it could be a late one....!!!!

All the best,

Double H

Well, despite the distractions of a Birthday night with the wife, I awoke at 5.30am, only to hear the rain drumming on the window, so I went back to sleep for an hour, then looked out of the window, and the sun was up, so I thought - lets go for it..!!

I drove to the field of recently drilled peas, set up Deako's flapper and 20 Double H decoys, and before I could get the nets in position they were pouring in...!!!

I had to pack up to go to work at 2.30pm, as the field was covered with woodies on their backs - I picked up 167, not quite a personal best, and it would have been higher, had I not had umpteen short, sharp showers all day, and my hide was not in the best place, being under a large overhanging oak, which kept me dry but prevented me from taking all of those lovely 120ft overhead screamers..!!

My two mates shot a nearby field and picked up 170...!!!, so all in all a good day, as we batted the birds between us, but now i'm absolutely pooped..!!
