Hi Guy's,

Well as it was such a nice day today i just had to get out and clear my head, so i rang my son to see if he was free for a few hours for some bunny bashing, so we were off. I have told him so much about the .17hmr, but the weather has been so bad i haven't been able to get out and show him how good it is :good:

We had a quick session to make sure he was OK shooting it, and then off for some bunnnies.

Slowly walking around some favourite rabbit spots, we failed to spot any at all, now this is the second time we have been out looking for bunnies (out with the .22rim the other day) and not seen many at all, very strange.

We spotted a bunny around sixty yards, but there was a fallen down tree at around 40yards, my son aimed at the rabbit, and squeezed of the shot "crack" his shot smacked into a branch, the rabbit hopped a few yards and looked around, my son reloaded, and "crack" again found a branch to stop the bullet :good:

He had a go at another 4 bunnies but missed, rushing his shots, and not being used to my varmint sticks. Now it was my turn, so slowly stalking along a good bunny patch i spotted a nice bunnie sat about 80yards away, so i set up on my varmint sticks, placed the cross-hairs and it's head and squeezed off my shot "Thwack", one nice bunny in the bag :good:
