I gave my crosman 1377 pistol a couple of new additions yesterday .

I fitted the crosman problock mounts and a new scope to sit on top .

Its a hawke 3x32 map crossbow scope i  found in a local shop brand new for £35 .good quality optics and short and light perfect for this combo .

I then also glued a 1/2 inch unf thread to the front end of the barrel, which allowed me to fit a spare soundbiter mod that i had .this makes it very quiet and effective .zeroing in the garden i was getting 15 mm groups at 25 yds (not bad for a pistol and 3x .mag)

Ps the glock 17  shoulder stock i did last year .

I had one of these years ago. The old boy down the road made a wooden pump and pistol grip for me.

I also had the plastic shoulder stock.

I swapped it for a ‘commando’ knife with the survival kit in the handle.

Still miss it!!

Lad in the village had one in the 80,s  little cocking round thing on the back you had to pull to cock it. Sure it could be played with to get more power. He did I remember.

Remember it being quite accurate taking crows etc off the telephone and power lines. He also had a Air Arms Jackal, I didn't like that gun too black and plastic for me.

I remember the 1377 being the first gun i ever lusted after in the mags .I must have been 15 years old .the idea of pump up power and small size really appealed .

30 odd years later and on my second one and i still think they are great.

I actually looked at the pump up webley rebel yesterday. (New for £70 ) but its long and pretty heavy for an all plastic gun and has a naff breach area .

Pumping is hard and all for just around 8 fpe .my 1377 makes 5 1/2 fpe with 15 pumps which is much easier to do .

This gun now will be a hide gun to accompany me out with the shotty .

Ideal for bird dispatch and the odd bird that may drop in a tree directly above which i dont want to shoot with a 20b and destroy  .

Did the moderator effect the fps much? reason I ask my mate has the ratcatcher  and after fitting a good quality mod found it effected the shot quite a lot which sounds odd to me.

Ps nice bit of custom work there!

No a mod should not decrease the velocity of a projectile.  (Unless the pellet is clipping it in some way )

A mod can be heavy and bend the barrel down a touch lowering point of  impact.

Hence why you should stick to either shooting with it on or off and not changing it about.

Thank you, I did suspect there should be little to no effect, never made use of one myself, I guess he best bring it over!
