Whitebridges
Here's a picture of the fruits of last nights labours. Fished between 8.15pm to 1.45.am. I finished with 8 sole (2 takers at 34 and 37cms and 6 slips returned), 1 pouting, 3 snotty eels, and a pup smoothie (1lb). My mate who thrashed me wicked on the sole last year had 2 snottys and a butt. He was using very similar end gear, bait, and fishing the same distance yet couldn't get so much as a knock, it's a funny old game. It'll be his turn next time!. Lovely night to be out, the beach will be packed with holidaymakers in the morning.

malkiserow
HI Whitebridges, well done.... what gear did you catch them all on? Malk
Whitebridges
Cheers lads. They were delicious. Malkiserow, i used two rods. I like wire booms for sole and fished a three hook rig, snoods were 18ins of black amnesia, size 4 hooks, with a 4 oz gripper lead to anchor everthing on the bottom. All you need is a gentle 30 yard lob to put you on the fish.
Suffolk shooter
Good result there WB. Try Shingle street or Bawdsey for bigger specimens, just be carefull it can be a bit snaggy there too. I must get out sea fishing. Me thinks a PW beach trip could be in order, a few tinny's, BBQ on beach? SS

Suffolk shooter
The bit I am thinking of thats snaggy isn't on the shingle street bit, but further round the bay going towards felixstowe. Can't remember the name of the track its so long since have been. Bit of a hike across the fields with the gear, but well worth it. WeihrauchPower
Great catch! Some of my mates in Cornwall paddle about a half mile out (yes they are crazy!) and would fish with just hand lines. We'd be back on the beach just laughing at them ( even though you could only just see them out there! They always came back with a few mackerel though. And straight onto the bbq they would go!
