captainhastings
It wasn't cycling very well today so gave it a good clean tonight and when I went to slide the rail back in it wouldn't go then it sort of did and the whole mech jammed. Managed to get it apart and I noticed the tub cut off switch is sort not receeding back fully. Is it possibly to remove because i never use it and is its causing issues would rather it wasnt there. It is back together and seems to function as it should and i will see tomorrow if it cycles. But I suspect there could be a problem there
TIGHTCHOKE
You can just drive the pin out, remove the latch and the spring. I never use mine but have not encountered any problems with any of the Escorts I have had.
Longstrider
Spring on mine died about a year ago. Took the whole thing off (pin, spring and button) and have been using it ever since like that.
steve_b_wales
I've only used mine about twice in the many years I've had mine. What I wish I could do away with, is the fact I have to press a button to allow cartridges to be inserted. The later models don't need this function. captainhastings
Ah it turns out its the trigger. Well the latch you press to release the bolt. For some reason some thing is not quite right. The guy in the shop compared to a working one and it looks perfect. The one out of another gun works fine and mine works fine in the other gun. The gunshop is going to contact hatsan for me. Very odd and a pain in the ****. First time it happened was after cleaning and reassembling but it released its self and was ok after. But this time again after cleaning it would not release
gotgcoalman
so it was the bolt release and not the mag tube cut off? yep it's a bit of a pain on the early models having to press the button to load !

Yes the bolt release. Bloody odd I think some thing is out of whack by a mil or two. Wish I had gone for a steel proofed side by side now. Just want some thing that works. Mind you once the glitch is ironed out i am sure i will be happy with it
