Lloyd90
I still have 2 big jars of goose fat that I saved from last Christmas in the fridge that I never got round to using (don't worry the rest of the fridge was cleaned regular). Anyways I am just wondering how long it lasts, and was thinking of giving some to the dog on his food if poss, as I know dogs get their energy from fats not carbs so as long as it hasn't gone bad I am sure he would enjoy it
marsh man
According to the web site, it states , a year if the tin / jar haven't been opened and 2 / 3 months if it had been opened . To be on the safe side buy some fresh goose fat and then you don't need to worry .
Centrepin
I used some out of the fridge last night for my Yorkshire puddings, it was from last year. So far so good🤔🤢🤢
henry d
I used to make a lot from the geese/duck I shot and put the hot fat into hot kilner jars and closed them. They were in the cupboard for a year and were fine as were the confit legs.
