bipod

Recommended Posts

Evening,

After looking at loads of bipods, i settled for a Spartan...

What a cracking piece of kit, but, it wont set low enough for me to use on a bench for target shooting.

When i look at other makes, lets say the Atlas, the minimum height quoted is near enough the same as my Spartan but is the measurement taken with the legs at 90 ?

The Atlas allows the legs to project forwards which surely allows for a much lower setting ?

Yes it's at 90 degrees but as you say the forward or rearward angles give much more height adjustment.

Seen a shooting sticks review that had a removable fork to take the Spartan magnetic spike so they're becoming mainstream.

Good bipod these are mate but my mate who oens one said its either up or down. Ive got an atlas and an accu tac and the angles and positions are better if u you get stuck in a situation to use it.

Does the sparton do anti cant as well?

One of the Spartans has a ball filling so it pans and has can't adjustment. Tex Biers was using one Inn a video then a full sizevtripod in a farm yard with the attatchent.
