Mungler
No I understand that the record is for a 12" piece of vinyl.
rarms
Doubt there is anything live in there! Where abouts you based? I can see the Arun from my house
Cranfield
I think you will find that all the records in most rivers are extinct, it might have been a CD, they are mostly silvery coloured and just under 5 inches.
tosspot
rarms i too can see the river from my house if you know where Washingham, Ham corner or Greatham stretches are......well i'm nowhere near there  however if you know Bury ferry then you may have walked past the end of my garden i think if my guessing is correct that you live below the salt water mark maybe near the "Knucker Hole" TP
rarms
I do indeed live near the end of the river, not far from 'the hole', next to the sweeping bend before it dumps itself into the channel!

We often take the kids down there, they love it.
LEFTY478
I spent the weekend at Lyminster, near the knucker Hole, the history of which I read about whilst enjoying the fayre on offer at the Six Bells. However, I have no River Arun 'record' sighting to report. I trust that this is of absolutely no help or relevance.
Dunkield
You must be fairly close to the Wetlands Trust then. Probably some good 'fowling near there
tosspot
You must be fairly close to the Wetlands Trust then. Probably some good 'fowling near there up until a year or two back we shot right next door to the RSPB reserve up the road, so they bought up all the brooks lock stock end of story :( B) the Wetland and Wildfowl at Arundel is a great visit with or without the kids summer or winter, frustrating as hell to watch the footie next door to it on a greying sat afternoon and have flight after flight of mallard and teal and all things exotic pitching in through the floodlights TP
