figgy
Seeing as he was as old as he was, may have just been taught practically and passed all his tests that way, rather than in a classroom or paperwork. Can't believe he couldn't read at all. Maybe just not great or fast at reading. Can you imagine sale of the century, if he couldn't read, would have been a disaster. 😂 Edited January 30, 2020 by figgy

The slight difference in the way our brains work makes reading drawings easier / quicker and reading words harder / slower. As a small example: p d b to us are all the same, just rotational and reflective symmetry of the same shape. We stumble on that in words the rotation matters. However we can quickly see in drawings a bolt going to the left and a bolt going to the right are both still bolts. I’m certified dyslexic, I don’t consider it in anyway a disability just a difference. I am also a partner in an architecture practice. WalkedUp
I would class myself only as semi literate, but my standards are high 💁🏼♀️
